The Stanisław Staszic Academy of Applied Sciences in Piła is the largest public university in northern Wielkopolska. Since 2000, it has been educating specialists in practical fields of medical, economic, technical and social studies. It offers bachelor's, engineer's and master's studies , responding to the dynamic changes in the labor market. What's more, the study program includes several months of internships. This allows our students to gain their first professional experience - so highly valued by employers. The University's extensive cooperation with domestic and international business has resulted in dual studies - an innovative educational project in engineering fields. In this type of studies, we educate in partnership with several dozen renowned companies, including: Signify, SeaKing Poland, and Hydro. We are the only university in Poland conducting dual studies on such a large scale. One of the key areas of functioning and development of the Stanisław Staszic Academy of Applied Sciences in Piła is the internationalization of the education process. Since 2007, the University has participated in the Erasmus+ Program , which enables international mobility, i.e. educational trips for students, teaching staff and administrative staff. Thanks to the Program, students can complete up to 1/3 of their classes abroad. PUSS in Piła conducts international cooperation within all fields of study with 39 universities in 19 countries - from Spain to Turkey. Countries belonging to the European Union are the obvious main direction of such cooperation. However, each year it expands to areas defined as partner areas. Since 2018, students and employees of the University can take advantage of trips to new countries and universities with which bilateral agreements have been concluded: Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia. Another success is opening the possibility of cooperation with universities in Colombia and Cambodia.
The dream of a globally acclaimed institution promoted Mr. Donat Mierzejewski to set up SSSUAS. Mr. Donat Mierzejewski visited many countries of the world and observed the way the universities of those countries work. He made up his mind to establish such an institution which will be the torch bearer of knowledge and wisdom. In spite of his busy schedule, he spent a lot of time to actualize his dream into reality. Being the chairman of Reliance industrial park, he has also associated himself with a variety of humanitarian works. In accordance with the slogan, 'Digital Poland', Mr Donat Mierzejewski wants to make the students go digital by setting up a college which excels in business and technology.
SSSUAS undertakes to build up a reputation as a rural level low cost digital education in Business and Technology with innovative research and development as a private institution.
The mission of SSSUAS is to contribute, through collaborative research and education to efforts to create a Digital Poland. SSSUAS pays due attention to the spread of technological knowledge everywhere.
